The Daoli of India
The Daoli of India, numbering about 2,900 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Punjabi community whose traditional occupation was panning gold dust from the Sutlej riverbed. That trade ended after the Bhakra Nangal Dam was built, and they now chiefly operate water-mills that grind wheat flour.
They are an indigenous people in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Panjabi.
