The Dagi of India
The Dagi of India, numbering about 3,100 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste community of the Lahaul valley in Himachal Pradesh, traditionally employed as musicians at festive occasions and in ironsmithy, blending Hindu and Buddhist beliefs with the worship of local spirits.
They are an indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Pahari-Potwari.
