The Malaneese of India
The Malaneese of India, numbering about 2,100 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an isolated community of the village of Malana in Himachal Pradesh, speaking their own Tibeto-Burman language, Kanashi. Agriculture remains their main occupation, supplemented by herb-collecting and animal husbandry.
They are an indigenous people in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Kanashi.
