The Bhujel of India
The Bhujel of India, numbering about 19,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Tibeto-Burman people tracing origin to the Bhuji River valley of Nepal, who lost an independent principality to invasion in the fourteenth century and today live across the eastern Himalaya including India's Sikkim, divided into four subcastes.
They are an indigenous people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Nepali (individual language).
