The Barar of India
The Barar of India, numbering about 14,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste artisan community of Punjab traditionally engaged in crafting combs, winnowing fans, and baskets from reeds. They migrated from the Kangra hills, speak Pahari among themselves, and worship Baba Balak Nath.
They are an indigenous people in the Nepali-Pahari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Pahari-Potwari.
