The Miya of Nepal
The Miya of Nepal, numbering about 8,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Nepali-speaking Sunni Muslim community of central Nepal, traditionally known as itinerant sellers of glass bangles and ornaments. Distinct from the larger Muslim populations of the Terai, they are culturally integrated into Nepal's hill society.
They are an indigenous people in the Nepali-Pahari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Nepali (individual language).
