The Toda of India
The Toda of India, numbering about 2,400 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a pastoral Scheduled Tribe of the Nilgiri hills, Tamil Nadu, one of India's most studied tribal communities, who call themselves Tora. Cattle-herding remains traditional, though many now grow vegetables like potato and cabbage.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Toda.
