The Rajbhar of Nepal

The Rajbhar of Nepal, numbering about 42,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are descendants of the once-dominant Bhar tribe that controlled the Oudh region between Varanasi and Allahabad, who adopted the name Rajbhar under the Arya Samaj reform movement and, in a 1940 history, claimed descent from an ancient Bhar ruling king.

They are an indigenous people in the Bengali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Nepali (individual language).
