The Halkhor of Nepal
The Halkhor of Nepal, numbering about 6,300 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Maithili-named community whose ancestors migrated from the Bihar border roughly a century ago, traditionally engaged in sanitation work, officially recognized as one of Nepal's 22 Madhesi Dalit castes.
They are an indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Nepali (individual language).
