The Dusadh of Nepal
The Dusadh of Nepal, numbering about 276,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Dalit community known as Dusadh or Paswan, whose name may derive from Urdu for bodyguard after ancestors fought for the British East India Company against Siraj-ud-daulah, earning posts as village watchmen and messengers for landowning castes.
They are an indigenous people in the Dusadh people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Nepali (individual language).
