The Patharkat of India
The Patharkat of India, numbering about 2,200 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a nomadic stone-carving community of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi, their name combining words for stone and cutting. Once hunters and trappers, today stone-carving for millstones remains their traditional occupation.
They are an indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Hindi.
