The Kapuria of India
The Kapuria of India, numbering about 1,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a wandering community of West Bengal who migrated from Uttar Pradesh during World War I. Once known as itinerant horse dealers, today palmistry, astrology, and selling conch-shell handicrafts are their main livelihood.
They are an indigenous people in the Bihari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Bengali.
