The Godra of India
The Godra of India, numbering about 5,400 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Sambalpur district in Odisha, considered an offshoot of the Mahar, formerly sustained by hunting and forest produce before deforestation pushed them into wage labor and bamboo basketry.
They are an indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Odia.
