The Bangti of India
The Bangti of India, numbering about 300 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Telugu-speaking fishing community of Odisha, concentrated in the Rayagada and Kalahandi regions. Their men traditionally fish in ponds and rivers while the women sell the catch in local markets.
They are an indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Odia.
