The Siddi of India
The Siddi of India, numbering about 34,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of African origin along the western coasts of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, believed brought by the Portuguese, comprising Hindu, Muslim, and Christian sections. Agriculture and agricultural labor remain common.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Gujarati.
