The Onge of India
The Onge of India, numbering about 150 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Negrito Scheduled Tribe of Little Andaman Island organized into patrilineal descent groups, traditionally hunter-gatherers of the forest and sea. Wage labor on plantations now supplements hunting, fishing, and gathering.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Önge.
