The Brokpa of Bhutan

The Brokpa of Bhutan, numbering about 7,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a semi-nomadic yak-herding people of Merak and Sakteng in eastern Bhutan's Trashigang district, whose oral traditions trace their ancestry to Tibet's Tshona area and who are set apart from neighboring Sharchop by a distinct Tibetic language and dress.

They are an indigenous people in the Bhutanese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Buddhism, and they primarily speak Brokpake.
