The Kulina Pano of Brazil
The Kulina Pano of Brazil, numbering about 125 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Arawan-speaking Amazonian people of Brazil and Peru who fled violent rubber-boom raids in the late nineteenth century, moving upriver along the Jurua and Purus, squeezed between rubber-gatherer violence and Tupi-Guarani expansion from the east.
They are an indigenous people in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Portuguese.
