The Isthmus Nahuatl of Mexico, numbering about 79,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Nahuatl-speaking people of southern Veracruz's Cosoleacaque, Mecayapan, and Pajapan municipalities near the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, descended from central Mexican settlers via pre-Hispanic trade routes.
They are an indigenous people in the Aztec people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Spanish.
