The Huehuetla Tepehua of Mexico
The Huehuetla Tepehua of Mexico, numbering about 3,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Totonacan-speaking farming people of Hidalgo's mountainous Huehuetla district, whose Nahuatl-derived name means people of the mountain, living amid Otomi and mestizo neighbors along the Hidalgo-Veracruz borderlands.
They are an indigenous people in the Central American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Huehuetla Tepehua.
