Most Sindhis descend from families that migrated from Sindh after Partition and have maintained a distinct language, cultural identity, and strong commercial traditions.
They are a diaspora people in the Sindhi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Hindi.
