The Jains (Bengali) of India
The Jains (Bengali) of India, numbering about 131,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an ethnoreligious community of Bengali-speaking Jains in eastern India, historically represented by the Sarak community of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Odisha. They are one of the oldest surviving Jain communities of eastern India.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Jain people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Jainism, and they primarily speak Bengali.
