The Tai Mao of Myanmar
The Tai Mao of Myanmar, numbering about 120,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic subgroup of Burmese Shan whose identity is linked to the ancient Mao Kingdom on the border region of modern Myanmar and China.
They are an indigenous people in the Tai people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Theravada Buddhism, and they primarily speak Tai Long.
