The Kashmiri of the United States, numbering about 1,300 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Kashmiri diaspora community in the United States shaped in part by the early-1990s exodus of Kashmiri Hindus fleeing insurgency violence in the Kashmir Valley, now concentrated in professional careers across major U.S. metropolitan areas.
They are a diaspora people in the Kashmiri people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Kashmiri.
