The Laki of Iran
The Laki of Iran, numbering about 1,305,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Iranian people of the Zagros Mountains whose ancestors migrated from regions farther north and who are centered in Lorestan, Kermanshah, and Ilam, maintaining a distinct Lak identity closely related to neighboring Kurdish and Lur communities.
They are an indigenous people in the Kurd people cluster of the Persian-Median Peoples. Their primary religion is Shia Islam, and they primarily speak Laki.
