The Khuf of Tajikistan
The Khuf of Tajikistan, numbering about 4,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Pamir people of Tajikistan's Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region speaking Khufi, a distinct dialect closely related to but different from Shughni, and practicing Ismaili Shia Islam unlike the Sunni majority found elsewhere in Tajikistan.
They are an indigenous people in the Tajik people cluster of the Persian-Median Peoples. Their primary religion is Shia Islam, and they primarily speak Shughni.
