The Azoyu Tlapanec of Mexico

The Azoyu Tlapanec of Mexico, numbering about 850 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Me'phaa people of Guerrero's Costa Chica region who settled alongside the Mixtec by the 11th century, descendants of the Yopitzinco polity that remained an independent enclave never conquered by the Aztec empire, now speaking an endangered Azoyu dialect.

They are an indigenous people in the Central American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Spanish.
