The Truka of Brazil
The Truka of Brazil, numbering about 4,600 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a riverine people of Pernambuco's Assuncao Archipelago on the Sao Francisco River, descended from the Rodelas people and in contact with regional society for three centuries, their extinct language replaced by identity kept alive through the Tore dance.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Portuguese.
