The Khmer Krom of Vietnam
The Khmer Krom of Vietnam, numbering about 1,385,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Indigenous Khmer people of the Mekong Delta whose ancestors formed part of the historic Khmer societies of southern Vietnam, maintaining a distinct identity, language, and cultural heritage within a predominantly Vietnamese state.
They are a diaspora people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Theravada Buddhism, and they primarily speak Khmer.
