The Shoshoni of the United States

The Shoshoni of the United States, numbering about 10,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Native American people who traditionally lived across a large area of the western United States. The Shoshoni were among the tribes encountered by the Lewis and Clark Expedition (1804-1806), and Sacagawea, a Shoshoni woman, helped guide the expedition.

They are an indigenous people in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Shoshoni.
