The Gullah of the United States, numbering about 296,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a subgroup of the African American ethnic group who predominantly inhabit the remote barrier islands of South Carolina and Georgia.
They are an indigenous people in the Afro-American people cluster of the North American Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Sea Island Creole English.
