The Kutenai of Canada
The Kutenai of Canada, numbering about 1,300 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a people of southeastern British Columbia's Kootenay River basin believed descended from an ancient Blackfoot group that migrated west onto the plateau, whose first sustained contact with fur traders came through David Thompson's 1807 trading post.
They are an indigenous people in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak English.
