The Romani of Canada
The Romani of Canada, numbering about 3,900 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are descendants of Roma families first recorded camping in Ontario in 1909, whose numbers grew through postwar Holocaust survivors and later refugee waves from the Czech Republic and Hungary, concentrated today in Toronto and Hamilton.
They are an indigenous people in the Romani people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak English.
