The Evenki of the Russian Federation, numbering about 38,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a widely dispersed, semi‑nomadic Tungusic-speaking people of the central and eastern Siberian taiga, whose subsistence system integrates hunting, fishing, and small-scale reindeer husbandry as a unified adaptive strategy to boreal forest environments.
They are an indigenous people in the Altaic people cluster of the Turkic Peoples. Their primary religion is Shamanism, and they primarily speak Evenki.
