The Wambera of Ethiopia
The Wambera of Ethiopia, numbering about 13,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a language variety subgroup of the Shinasha, an Omotic-speaking peopel of northwestern Ethiopia, concentrated in the Metekel Zone of Benishangul-Gumuz Region, north of the Blue Nile.
They are an indigenous people in the Omotic people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Tewahedo Orthodox Christianity, and they primarily speak Boro (Ethiopia).
