The Gollango of Ethiopia
The Gollango of Ethiopia, numbering about 8,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Gollango-speaking branch of the Ale people of southern Ethiopia, administered under Konso and Derashe authorities before decades of seeking self-rule ended with the Ale securing their own woreda status in 2011 after renewed post-1991 federal tensions.
They are an indigenous people in the Omotic people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Gawwada.
