The Kendeje of Chad

The Kendeje of Chad, numbering about 4,100 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Maban-speaking Muslim community of Chad's Ouaddai region near the Sudan border, part of the wider Maba ethnic-linguistic cluster that founded the historic Wadai Sultanate.

They are an indigenous people in the Ouaddai-Fur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Kendeje.
