The Gorait of India
The Gorait of India, numbering about 10,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Bihar community of traditional drum-beaters, related to the Kora, who once also made bamboo combs and carded cotton. Paid annually by villagers for ceremonial drumming, many now work in agriculture, wage labor, and rickshaw-pulling.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Sadri.
