The Badhik of India

The Badhik of India, numbering about 19,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste community of western Uttar Pradesh, concentrated around Muzaffarnagar, whose name may derive from badh, meaning to kill. Traditionally hunters and trappers, they now work mainly as butchers and are also known as Hindu Kasai.

They are an indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Hindi.
