The Dabgar of India
The Dabgar of India, numbering about 43,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste leatherworking community found across several states, traditionally tanning hides and manufacturing containers for ghee and oil, with a Uttar Pradesh branch tracing descent from Rajput shield-makers.
They are an indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Gujarati.
