The Ager of India
The Ager of India, numbering about 389,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Hindu community of Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra whose name derives from agri, meaning salt pan, reflecting their traditional occupation of salt-making. They claim Sisodia Rajput descent and now work mainly in agriculture.
They are an indigenous people in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Marathi.
