The Sarki of India
The Sarki of India, numbering about 18,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are traditionally the leatherworkers and cobblers among Nepali-origin hill Dalit castes, found across the Himalayan foothills of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and the Dooars terai, alongside the related Kami and Damai occupational castes.
They are an indigenous people in the Nepali-Pahari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Nepali (individual language).
