The Turha of India
The Turha of India, numbering about 345,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a community of Samastipur, Darbhanga, and Muzaffarpur districts, Bihar, once palanquin-bearers, traditionally sellers of vegetables, fruit, and fish. This trade continues, supplemented by government service and self-employment.
They are an indigenous people in the Bihari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Maithili.

- Romans 10:14–15. Ask God to send messengers, so that people can hear, believe and call on the name of the Lord.
