The Khairwar (Odia) of India, numbering about 322,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Indigenous tribal community (Adivasi) of central‑eastern India, recognized as a Scheduled Tribe (ST) under the Indian Constitution. They are traditionally forest‑dwelling people, closely connected to land, forests, and agriculture and wage labor.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Odia.
