The Kolhati of India
The Kolhati of India, numbering about 29,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Maharashtra community, also called Dombari, historically associated with prostitution and dance performance for its trained women. Settled agriculture and agricultural labor now form their main livelihood alongside this trade.
They are an indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Marathi.
