The Kamar of India
The Kamar of India, numbering about 1,450,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a metalworking community of West Bengal, Bihar, and Odisha, also called Karmakar, believed in legend to descend from the celestial craftsman Vishwakarma. They traditionally forge iron, brass, gold, and silver, and are Hindu.
They are an indigenous people in the Bengali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Bengali.
