The Ezhavathi of India
The Ezhavathi of India, numbering about 55,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Kerala barber community historically serving the Ezhava, whose name Ezhavathi reflects that traditional client relationship, and who performed depilatory and hair-cutting services before opening modern saloons.
They are an indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Malayalam.
