The Mang Garodi of India
The Mang Garodi of India, numbering about 42,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, whose name recalls begging and the Brahminical kite garuda. Traditionally acrobats and mat-weavers, today wage labor, rickshaw-driving, and music now support most families.
They are an indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Marathi.
