The Pitchiguntla of India
The Pitchiguntla of India, numbering about 52,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a mendicant community of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu divided into bell-ringing, pig-rearing, and drum-playing subgroups, traditionally bards and genealogists. Agricultural wage labor and begging remain common.
They are an indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Telugu.
