The Nadia of India
The Nadia of India, numbering about 70,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Gujarat, also called Hadi, whose name recalls the leather thongs once used to tie plow bullocks. Sweeping was their traditional trade, now largely replaced by cultivation and government service.
They are an indigenous people in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Gujarati.
